I love the way you painted her picture, and her hummingbird send-off. A beautiful tribute to your beloved kitty and profound thoughts about the parallels in our own aging lives. With love and sorrow we go, holding our memories in our empty laps.
So hard to lose your fur person but what a loving life she had with you. We lost our dog in January and really wasn’t sure about adopting another. The fates arranged a nine year old dog to come into our lives and she is such a loving, sensitive creature. You never know…
I will so miss seeing Kitze. She was a lovely and lucky being.
I was so lucky to be paired with her -- as in margaret's comment below, she just "came to me" in serendipity. I'm so grateful for that!
I just read this out loud to Paul, 84, and our 18 year old Boo…aka Bookitty and Pussy Willow. We feel your loss. ❤️🐈⬛ 🙂83yo Peesh
oh thank you Peesh--and Boo & Paul (not necessarily in that order!) Loved your note!
Lovely, Clyde. That poem describes our sweet Scooter, now 16. We know the pain of losing a beloved cat; you never forget them.
Beautiful
We’ll all miss her mitten paws, short tail, and her—shall we say “vacant focus”? What a special small friend.

Thank you, and the last line of your comment -- well, it's a poem in & of itself. The image you leave us with sums all of it up so beautifully.
Our four legged family members seem unconcerned by all but the love and care we exchange with each other. No headlines. Not too many worries.
Our hearts break when they leave us, but I love the idea that hummingbirds might come to shepherd our spirits away to what lies ahead.
As Jeb Bartlett often said on The West Wing,
“What’s next?”
We can take our animal friends as examples of how to live, and how to go beyond. Love your "What's next."
What a lovely tribute to a beloved animal friend! It is so hard to lose these blessed companions.
Thinking of you....
Kate
Thanks Kate -- appreciated!
It is so hard to say goodbye, but what a beautiful tribute.
Thank-you, Rachel.
Glad she got a royal sendoff.
That makes me picture her with a little sparkling crown!
I will miss Kitze's quiet presence.
She was indeed a presence & what a dear one!

So sorry.
How wonderful that a new companion of the canine variety just came to you like that! I wonder what her name is & what she looks like!
